Non submission of coursework or failure to attend an examination without a valid extenuating circumstance has very serious implications.
Any student who fails to submit coursework or attend an exam and then goes on to fail the unit will automatically be prevented from taking second attempt assessments and therefore progressing to the next stage of their course at the end of the year.
The message is simple, in order to have a chance of progressing, you must attend or submit for all assessments at the first attempt unless you are covered by a valid extenuating circumstance. Please note that extenuating circumstances cannot be claimed for second attempt assessments.
Please see the Examination and Assessment Regulations for the definitive rules on assessment.
